Make-A-Wish Balloon Glow 2010
Sponsored Feature
Colorful hot air balloons will fill the sky during the 2010 Season Of Wishes Balloon Glow, hosted by the Kansas City Regional Office of The Make-A-Wish Foundation® from 5-9 PM on Saturday, September 25th at Mission Farms (located at 105th and Mission Rd in Leawood.) Admission is $5 per person or $10 per family. All proceeds from this family-friendly celebration will help grant wishes to Kansas City area children battling life-threatening medical conditions.
The Season of Wishes Balloon Glow launches with a huge birthday party. Celebrate with children throughout the region whose wishes have been, and are currently being, granted by the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The festivities include kid-friendly games, face painting, plus inflatable slides and bounce houses. The Mikey Needleman Band performs pop-laced rock songs on stage. Enjoy food and beverages available for purchase on-site. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s Kansas City Regional Office.
At 6:30 PM, Mission Farms will glow with color as regional hot air balloonists inflate their balloons to towering heights. The balloons will remain tethered to the ground so adults and children can easily view the balloons, take photographs, and speak with the pilots.
Mission Farms, Applebees, Shatto Milk Company, Graybar, Ferrellgas, Shaw Electric and Leawood Lifestlyle Magazine provided support for the 2010 Season of Wishes Balloon Glow, the premiere lift-off for the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s fall fundraising campaign.
