Get Him (or Her) to the Greek

AIWF-KC - American Institute of Wine and Food

Come out to an "Eat Like a Greek" cooking class and wine pairing at Wines by Jennifer in Parkville. Just $30 each (or $25 if you are a member of their Wine Club). Joyce Angelos will show you how:

        * to fold phyllo cheese triangles "tiropitakia"
        * to make a Greek tomato sauce
        * to make a simple greek meatball "keftedes"
        * to make the garlic yogurt dip "tzaziki"
        * to make a seafood saute

Also, a discussion of the wines of Santorini, where Joyce toured this past July.

Slow Food Kansas City Presents Artisan Crafted Cocktails and Seasonal Food at R Bar

Learn how the R Bar makes their cocktails by using a traditional recipe and giving it a fresh update.
The R Bar's mixologists will be doing a demo on how they make one of their artisan cocktails.
Chef Alex Pope will share his ideas about food, R Bar's mission and how he uses seasonal, fresh, and locally produced ingredients to make fantastic seasonal menus.

Enjoy a menu of seasonal appetizers and 2 artisan cocktails:
French King - Grey Goose Vodka, Chambord, Pineapple juice and Lucid Absinthe
Ward 8 - Rittenhouse Rye, Orange juice, Lemon juice and House-made Grenadine.

Travel and Cook with Franco Cupini in Italy

On Thursday, February 24, 2011 at 5:30 PM, come to Cupini’s Restaurant (1809 Westport Road) and learn about an opportunity to travel and cook with Chef Franco Cupini on November 4-13, 2011 in his home land, Italy! 

We will visit Rome and the Umbrian countryside, on a unique gastronomic and historic tour.  This will be a chance to have some authentic experiences not often obtained with just 20 participants. We’ll enjoy first class accommodations for four nights in Rome and four more in a very special countryside farmhouse. Three cooking classes with Franco, privately guided tours of the most important sights in Rome, including the Vatican Museums, wine tasting, a visit to an olive oil mill are just a few of the highlights.

Jasper's Artisan Chocolate Experience Dinner
